A person's balance is controlled through the vestibular system, located in the inner ear. Balance and equilibrium help us stand, walk, run or otherwise move without falling. Proper functioning of the vestibular system depends on information from many other systems such as hearing, vision and feedback from muscles.

Problems in the inner ear can lead to difficulties with balance and/or dizziness. The audiologists at Advanced Audiology Institute can examine the inner ear to detect possible problems related to the vestibular system and recommend a course of treatment.

In 2009, Advanced Audiology Institute joined forces with the Werner Institute of Balance and Dizziness to become the Las Vegas valley's center of excellence in diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders.
